The Acty line of trucks and vans by Honda is a hugely popular seller in many parts of the world, but sadly, not in the U.S. Too bad – they’re fabulously versatile, hugely efficient, and in typical Honda parlance, built to last. With a mid-engine, rear-drive chassis, the handling is absolutely neutral, not that there’s a lot of power coming from the inline 3-cylinder engine – in fact, they’re only good for a top speed of about 70 mph. A natural born city truck, the Acty is perfect for carting people or packages around town. Perfectly sized, they offer passengers ample space and comfort while not being a large vehicle, making it easy to maneuver and park in the city.
This one has only seen 40k miles and presents in gorgeous condition. The paint and body look sharp and straight, nice reflection and shine and the same with the trim, while the interior looks fantastic as well, which is astonishing, considering the Acty’s purpose. Here in the U.S., they’re quirky unknowns, because none were ever imported here officially, so they’re super rare. But, being a Honda, they’re relatively easy to find parts for and get serviced. On top of that, the seller says it can get about 45 mpg, which is always a plus!
At nine grand, it’s not cheap, especially considering it’s not something intended to take long journeys in. But it seems to be in excellent overall condition and is one of the rarest vehicles in the USA, despite being a Honda truck. The term ‘find another one’ comes to mind, which is backed up by ‘find another one in this kind of condition,’ because, let’s face it, that’s not likely to happen. So, given the rarity and condition, we call it ‘Well Bought’. Not to mention the quirkiness of it.
