While produced for 1991-1995, the Z07 Adjustable Suspension Package is one of the least-known options offered with Chevrolet’s ‘C4’ Corvette. A combination of the Z51 and FX3 performance options, RPO Z07 was priced at $2,045 and elevated the Corvette’s already stellar handling to epic proportions. Upgrades of the Z07 option include special springs, stabilizers, and bushings, plus 17” x 9.5” wheels and P275/40ZR17/N extreme performance tires. Power adjustable AG1 and AG2 seats were mandatory and the Z07 package was available with both manual and automatic transmissions. While the ‘C4’ was already advertised as “The American Exotic,” RPO Z07 made the Corvette even more effective on the road and quite showroom stock trackworthy.
Featuring the 6-speed manual transmission preferred by committed drivers, this yummy Admiral Blue 1995 Corvette Coupe is 1 of only 753 built for that year with the Z07 Adjustable Suspension option (Z51+FX3). The car has just 32k original miles, and according to the seller, this rare ‘Vette runs and drives great and is offered in overall very good condition, being solid with no rattles or other annoyances, no check lights on, and the special suspension works well. It includes two roof panels in both glass and black painted. The seller advises the car had an issue with reverse when he purchased it, so they located and installed a NOS “Blue Tag” transmission and a new clutch, while the original transmission also comes with the car. The seller is interested in an honest offering and their sale description does detail the various items required to elevate the car, which includes two sets of wheels and a clear Colorado title.
The rare Z07 Corvette produced from 1991-1995 is an interesting variant that sold at a premium when new. They also served to provide much of the same experience as the exotic and expensive ZR-1 without the exceptional LT-5 engine. Let’s face it, our subject looks good and it’s very rare in its special option combination. It’s not terribly costly at the seller’s asking price and could deliver a whole lot of fun and driving enjoyment compelling us to consider it fair market.
