Super Stealth: 43k-Mile 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 6-Speed

When the Mitsubishi 3000GT and sister product Dodge Stealth hit the market, it kind of blew the world away. Here were two cars from Mitsubishi that both, in twin-turbo form, would rocket to 60 mph in under 5-seconds. They have all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, active aerodynamics, leather interiors, astonishing stereo systems, an exotic temperature control system, about 300hp on tap, and all the civility of a Camry. They could be used in the daily commute without much fear of breakdowns or drama and sit in traffic without any temperature issues – they basically made people buying more finicky brands wonder why they were buying those brands. It was getting to a point that customers were only buying those upscale brands to have the cache of owning something that cost so much, and they really weren’t much better performers than the Mitsu – they certainly weren’t more reliable.

Showing just 43k miles on the clock, this 3000GT VR4 appears to be in fantastic shape, and it’s had the necessary timing belt and water pump service performed about 2k miles ago. The bright red paint shows nicely with great reflection, the chrome wheels look like they’ve suffered no curb rash, and the black leather interior appears as fresh as a daisy. It’s even got the branded floormats and the original stereo system is still in place, complete with the tape deck, graphic equalizer, and multi-disc changer. Equipped with the factory moonroof, the active wing is said to be working and the car is all stock, except for the Borla exhaust.
