Why We Like It

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you pop open the ‘ol interwebs and come across this bad ass love child of ‘70s righteousness. The perfect combination of two iconic symbols of the time – the Volkswagen Bus, and the American “Shag Wagon” – the VW ‘Landmark’ Conversion Van by National Coach Corporation (who’s better known for converting American vans with big V8s), is one of the kitschiest and coolest campers we’ve never seen.

From the red wheels and the blue tri-colore stripes, to the fat biscuit stitched padded headliner, four swanky swiveling captain’s chairs, and basic camper amenities, we can’t get enough of this one! It seems to be missing the rear-mounted spare and ladder, at least the couple others we found online have those features, but we’re no experts. Just one of the dozens of cars seen today that we wish could be added to our stable. One thing’s for sure, something this rare and affordable won’t last long!
